Chris Cutler

Dr. Chris Cutler has been an Assistant Professor at the Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture (formerly the Nova Scotia Agricultural College) since 2007.  He has a strong backround in entomology and insect pest management and an active, well-equipped lab, consisting of M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, technicians, and a post-doctoral fellow.  Dr. Cutler holds several grants for projects tackling a range of questions in insect pest management and insect ecology.  He is working with Dr. Hillier on two M.Sc. projects examining the chemical ecology (pheromone identification, behavior, population monitoring with pheromone-baited traps) of two insect pests in lowbush blueberry.  Dr. Cutler is well connected with various sectors of the agricultural industry and has good access to infrastructure and sites for field word.
